Reviews

"A car accident is always a stressful experience, but Melissa went above and beyond... She takes pride in her work and takes pride in helping others. The amount she was able to get back for me after the accident was beyond helpful — especially after a bad experience with insurance. Would highly recommend."

— Triston C.

"After my customer's vehicle was declared a total loss, the insurance company's initial offer came in far below the truck's true value. Melissa stepped in, conducted a detailed evaluation, and my customer was able to secure nearly $4,000 more in the final settlement. Professional, responsive, and made the entire process stress-free."

— Brad T.

"It was fast. Thank you."

  • Yes. These calculators are designed for nationwide use and can be applied across all U.S. states. Insurance laws and practices may vary by state, but these appraisal tools provide independent estimate guidance based on user inputs and certified automotive appraisal techniques.

  • Many online calculators rely on simplified formulas, including the 17c method - which is not appropriate for individual claims - or they apply preset caps that may not reflect your vehicle’s actual market impact. Our calculators are built to evaluate real valuation factors — including damage severity, repair type, vehicle characteristics, and market influence — without artificial caps or formula shortcuts.

For loss of use, the estimate reflects the reasonable market value of lost vehicle use during downtime, rather than a generic daily figure.

The results are more comprehensive estimates grounded in actual value considerations.

  • Just a few items are needed to calculate your claim. If your vehicle is being repaired, it is best to wait for the repairs to be completed and that you are satisfied with the quality before calculating to ensure you have captured all of your loss.

    • For Diminished Value Calculator you will need your Vehicle Estimate or 'Final Bill' if your car was repaired. We also provide Diminished Value Vehicle Diagrams that can be helpful with your calculations.

    • For the Loss of Use Calculator you will need the claim event dates (such as shop drop off and pick up dates) and your rental invoice if a rental car was provided to you.

Detailed instructions are emailed to you after purchase. In addition, you have access to your calculators for 72 hours after purchase if any corrections need to be made, or if you start and need to return at a later time to finish.

  • No. The calculators are designed to give consumers the option to calculate their own Diminished Value or Loss of Use losses at a more affordable price - using some of the same processes professional appraisers use to calculate your values.

Professional appraisal services provide a more detailed and comprehensive analysis - and may be needed if you are unable to reach an agreement with the insurer. A professional appraisal would require a separate agreement. Please feel free to contact us at any time for guidance or assistance with ongoing disputes.

  • No. Calculator results are estimates only and do not guarantee claim outcomes, settlements, or insurer payments. Similarly, this is true with insurer’s results. The purpose of the calculators are to give consumers the ability to verify the accuracy of the insurer’s estimate, and to provide support for your claim in the event of any differences - to argue your position, or as a point of negotiation.

In the event that you are unable to reach an agreement with the insurer, you may have to pursue other avenues for recovery of your losses. These reports can help with those efforts as well.

As always, please don’t hesitate to contact us if any guidance is needed.
